Clumio Billing Cycle
Clumio customers can now expect to be billed on a monthly basis. The Consumption Report on the Clumio platform will continue to provide a view of daily credit usage. However, with the change to a monthly billing cycle from the earlier daily, the current billing period will display estimated usage until it is closed. The estimated usage is indicated by an asterisk against the dates for which the credit consumption is displayed. The following image is an example of the consumption report with the estimated charges.
How will this affect prepaid customers?
If you are a prepaid customer, the Consumption Report dashboard will continue to display your daily credit usage as noted above, but these will be estimates for billing periods that are not yet closed.
How will this affect pay-as-you-go customers
If you are a pay-as-you-go customer, you will now be charged for the credits you have consumed when the billing period closes and not as you consume credits. The Consumption Report dashboard will continue to display your daily credit usage as noted above, but these will be estimates for billing periods that are not yet closed. At the end of the billing period (one month), Clumio will send your invoice to AWS and they will in turn send you an invoice for charges incurred for the services.
For example, all credits consumed in Clumio for the month of October will be reported to AWS around the middle of November. Therefore you can expect to see your Clumio usage for the month of October in AWS in November.
